ALLEN, Texas – Southwestern Oregon Community College won five of nine weight classes and had the runner-up in three others to outscore the field and win its fourth consecutive National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Association title. The Lakers scored an NCWWA-record 128 points, well ahead of first-time national participants Ottawa (Kan.) (98 points) and Springfield (Mass.) Tech (64.5). Lee, Ramos Earn National Title As Boxers Finish 2nd At NCWA


DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Before competing in the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association national meet in late January, Pacific's women's wrestlers not competed, let lone practiced much, in folkstyle wrestling. In the end, the lack of practice did little to affect the Boxers as they came away as the national runner-up at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association's Women's Nationals, held Thursday through Saturday at Ocean Arena. San Jose Wins 4th Women's Conference Title


Junior Team Captain and Club Team President Sonia Beri won her third Conference title this weekend leading San Jose State to their 4th Women's Conference title in as many years. Beri is the only two time All-American for San Jose State since joining the NCWWA. Sonia and three other qualifying Spartans will travel to the NCWWA National Championships in Daytona Beach, FL. Middle Tennessee State Wrestling officially announced that it will field an NCWA Women’s Division team starting in January when Spring classes begin.
